Today my heart was filled with Joy to hear a unique man, at a unique time in our history, actually say the government belongs to the people of the United States. I was encouraged by those chosen to read and pray, as each in their own way steered our thoughts back to the Creator, and in honor of His wisdom, prayed for His guidance for our New President, and our country. I desire to encourage those who out of fear or anger would lash out in protest. The words of this President are either true or not. The only way to know is observe what comes next. Either congress will work with him to achieve great things for our country, or they won’t. Either he will demonstrate sound and wise leadership, or he won’t. But as our elected President, it isn’t within my power or the Trump haters to effect change regarding who is our leader. He is. That’s it. The picture above represents greatness. The greatness of our county, our constitution, and our ability to be what Trump said he wants: a shining light to all other nations. May God bless the United States of America.
Well said, Doc. Coincidently enough, yesterday at my early Sunday coffee klatch, among the 6 of us, 4 are staunch Dems, I am Independent who voted for Hilary but I usually keep quiet or neutral in my political statements. But, yesterday, they began praising the march in Washington and crucifying our government for not allowing some Canadians in the country because they sais they were coming in to support the anti-Trump demonstration… and they went on and on and started on the “Trump’s Dooms Day” prophecy. I lashed out at them telling them to let go and accept facts and reality “Whether we like it or not, Trump is in and he is it for us.” and I stated (pretty much in accordance with what you posted) that we, voting citizens, have the power to keep him in line by using the tools of the system. Demonstrating does only one thing: it allows one to vent out but it really doesn’t change anything.
On the other hand, someone (unknown) once expressed this about our US government: “If “pro” is a prefix for things that are positive and “con” is a prefix for things that are negative, then, it would be fair to assume that the opposite of pro-gress is Congress.

Thanks for the comment. I hope and pray the folks in our county can come together, instead of remaining divided. I believe with all my heart that this can be a time of great positive change. But it takes all of us working together to make it happen.
