I’ve often wondered what would cause people to become so hate filled that they would form identity groups which vie for supremacy or dominance? Many in the human race have adopted various titles or names for themselves, others have had descriptive labels thrust upon them. The air of political correctness in this country is so thick you couldn’t cut it with a knife, it’s too dense and impermeable to believe. And, it is so anti-biblical as to be laughable by those who are true people of faith today. It begs the question: “Is this what God intended us to become?”
This is a great image of how God sees us (the skeletons). God didn’t give us these names… we did. We’re all the same below the surface of our skin, and it is His design. If the Bible is true, and we are indeed created in God’s image, then every single one of these labels is incorrect. We are human beings. We are knowable and known. God has spoken in His word about how we are to relate to Him, how we are to relate to other humans, and how we are to relate to ourselves. Isn’t it about time we figured out some of this stuff? Maybe it’s time to get past all the labels and name calling, and just ask God for wisdom.
James 1:5-8
But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
